Colin B. Ring, 42, 1860 Paradise St. SE, East Sparta, sexual battery, two counts gross sexual imposition, plead guilty, sentenced to 60 months on the charge of sexual battery and 60 months on each count of gross sexual imposition, served concurrently, Tier III registration.

An East Sparta area man was thrown from his pickup when it overturned in the 3200 block of Downing Street SW June 20. Troopers from the Ohio Highway Patrol's Canton post were called at 7:27 a.m.

Jeffrey Lynn Spencer, 34, 7687 Lincoln Street SE, East Canton, two counts of having weapons while under disability, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, sentenced to 30 months Lorain on counts one and two, 18 months Lorain on count three, concurrent and concurrent with 2017CR0851.
Warrants Joseph Edward Domer, 20, of East Canton was served at 11:30 a.m. May 23 in the U.S. Marshals with a warrant for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony, at his grandmother's residence. Mark Anthony Richards, 25, of East Sparta was served at 11:30 p.m.

A Waynesburg man has been indicted on drug charges thanks to the efforts of a multi-county investigation. Michael Lombardi was arrested on April 26 on eight counts by a federal grand jury.

Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney Steven D. Barnett announced that Part I of the Carroll County Grand Jury met March 8, 2017 for a full day session. According to Barnett, the grand jury heard testimony involving from 20 witnesses, involving 17 cases, 16 which were returned as indictments.
