Canton Parks and Recreation to host skate park grand re-opening

Canton Parks and Recreation will host the grand opening of the recently renovated skate park at West Park on Monday, June 19 at 5 p.m.

Along with open skating, the Raging Avocado food truck will be on site, as well as music.

The grand opening will highlight the recently installed skate park structures and the newly painted design on the structures by Tim Carmany, of the Hub Art Factory, Canton.

The grand opening is free and the public is welcome to attend.

Following the grand opening will be the youth skateboard camp at 6 p.m. This youth skateboard camp is a six day summer camp instructed by members of the Canton Skateboard Association.

The program fee is $20 and participants of the skateboard camp will also receive a program tee shirt and helmet.

This program is funded by the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association.
